Henrique Mota is a Brazilian pianist and composer with a degree in Classical Piano from Fundação das Artes (São Caetano do Sul, Brazil). He has been gaining increasing recognition in the Brazilian instrumental music scene, particularly within jazz and fusion. Throughout his career, he has performed and recorded with renowned national and international artists such as Toninho Horta, Bob Mintzer, David Binney, Rachel Therrien, Bob Franceschini, Seamus Blake, Tony Lakatos, Filó Machado, Celso Pixinga, Thiago Espírito Santo, Cuca Teixeira, Edu Ribeiro, Nuno Mindelis, Bocato, Igor Willcox, and Michael Pipoquinha, among others. With a solid and versatile trajectory, Henrique has performed at some of the most important jazz and blues festivals in Brazil, both as a sideman and a bandleader. His appearances include events such as São Paulo Jazz Weekend, Santos Jazz Festival, Guararema Jazz & Blues, Pianíssimo Festival (Joinville), Amantikir Jazz Festival, Marabá Jazz Festival, Jazz & Blues Paraná, and Paraty Jazz Festival. In 2024, Henrique took part in the inaugural edition of São Paulo Jazz Weekend, sharing the lineup with internationally acclaimed artists including Dianne Reeves, Shai Maestro, Yamandu Costa, Scott Kinsey, and Arismar do Espírito Santo. Expanding his international presence, Henrique has also toured more than 12 cities in China with the HII Trio, presenting original repertoire and contemporary jazz to new audiences and venues across the country.
